A FULL RANGE OF PERFECTLY SCALE REPLICAS OF FAMOUS US SAILPLANES IN 90% EPP COMPLETE KITS!

After the success and popularity of our little 1:8 scale woodie version of the 1-26, and the lack of a good scale replica dedicated to the beginning pilot or the advanced slope pilot, we drew an exact copy to be constructed of EPP foam with internal stiffening. In the fuselage we use laser cut plywood bulkheads and side formers for the wing joint, plus laser cut plywood canopy bows and servo tray and laser cut 1/8" balsa tails. For the wings, 1/4" ID carbon-wrapped tube spars, and high quality CNC-wire-cut foam wing cores provide the basis for a strong and light wing that is quick and easy to build with conventional balsa and spruce trailing and sub-trailing edges and ailerons. Fuselage halves are machine-cut with top and side profiles complete and ready for hollowing and slotting to receive the internal components for conventional radio, servo and pushrod installation.

We call them BSS for "Backpack Slope Scale"
designed from the outset with two-piece removable wings and tails.....
Simply take them apart and they easily fit in luggage of 30" length or more!

Modeled directly from our successful B model 1-26, the E model with its raked vertical fin and modern jet-like nose, offered the pilot better visibility and its all monocoque aluminum structure afforded lower maintenance, higher do not exceed velocities and the ability to do more agressive aerobatic maneuvers. Our is modeled after the USAF Academy's three 1-26 designated TG-3A and used for advanced spin training at Colorado Springs.

Designed for the 15 meter or standard class glider events, the 1-34 turned out not to be competitive in a world of all composite glass ships in the 70s but soon became a favorite club sailplane for those moving up from soloing in the 1-26. Ours is modeled after John Roe's "ZR" flown in Southern California and due to its shoulder wing mount can be built as a one piece wing or two piece wing mounted on root fairings.

After the huge success of the 1-26, the Schweizers designed a follow on the one design concept glider in an all aluminum T tailed design designated the 1-36. My favorite sailplane from Schweizer, it has all the classic lines of the earlier predecessor but the high aspect and zoomy good looks just not found in the look-alike glass slippers of the same era. Ours is a full 1/10 larger in scale than the 1-26 giving it a full 2 meters of span and the capability of flying much bigger air and thermalling.

The beta model and prototype for the technologies used to produce our line of EPP slope scale sailplanes. Originally a wood spar system and married brass tube joiner on this ship has been replaced in all of the models with custom-made aircraft quality carbon-wrapped tubes mated to off-the-shelf available wing joiner rods.

The 2-33 was designed as an upgrade for the popular 2-22 trainer from Schweizer to provide more spacious and comfortable cabin with the hopes of attracting more young flyers to soaring. Thousands of sailplane pilots have now earned their wings in the 2-33 and we hope that it will be a popular model. With its long span, large area and high wing, it should be a stable and fun to fly trainer at the RC aerotowing field.

The TG-3 was designed as civilian training aircraft SGS 2-12 all wood sailplane due to the lack of aluminum during the early war years but were soon demonstrated to the US Army Air Corp at Wright Field in Dayton and put into service as trainers for pilots who would eventually fly the troop gliders in the invasion of Normandy on D-Day.
